Pallavicino (or Pallavicini), Carlo (c. 1630–1688)| Italian composer. He lived at Salò, married Giulia Rossi at Padua and settled there, producing operas between 1666 and 1687 at Venice, where he also lived for a time. In 1667–73 he was at the Saxon court at Dresden; first as assistant and later as first music director. In 1674 he was back at Venice, but was recalled to Dresden in 1685 to reorganize the Italian opera. |
