Pallavicino, Pietro Sforza (1607-1667)

Italian historian and cardinal. He held important ecclesiastical appointments during the pontificate of Urban VIII. He entered the Society of Jesus in 1637, and was made a cardinal by Pope Alexander VII in 1657. Pallavicino was the author of many fine works, but the best known is his Istoria del Concilio de Trento/History of the Council of Trent (1656-57). Pallavicino born in Rome, Italy.
