Palm Harbor

Town in Pinellas County, western-central Florida, USA, on St Joseph Sound leading to the Gulf of Mexico, 32 km/20 mi northwest of Tampa ; population (1990) 50,300. It grew almost tenfold in the 1980s as a retirement and resort community.
