Paminger, Leonhard

Paminger, Leonhard (1495–1567)

Austrian composer. He became a Lutheran and published religious pamphlets and a series of motets for the Lutheran year.

He was educated at the monastery of St Nicholas at Passau, then studied in Vienna, but returned to Passau in 1513 to become a teacher and later secretary at the monastery.
