Pamir

Central Asian plateau mainly in Tajikistan, but extending into China and Afghanistan, traversed by mountain ranges. Its highest peak is Kommunizma Pik (Communism Peak, 7,495 m/24,590 ft) in the Akademiya Nauk range.
