Pantanal

Large area of swampland in the Mato Grosso of southwestern Brazil, occupying 220,000 sq km/84,975 sq mi in the upper reaches of the Paraguay River; one of the world's great wildlife refuges, of which 1,370 sq km/530 sq mi were designated a national park 1981.
