Papandopulo, Boris (1906–1991)

Croatian composer and conductor. He studied at Zagreb and Vienna, and became choral and orchestral conductor at Zagreb, returning there after teaching at the Music School of Split 1935–38. He later worked as an opera conductor.

oratorio The Torments of Our Lord Jesus Christ for unaccompanied chorus (1935), Laudamus for solo voices, chorus, and orchestra; Croatian Mass for soloists and chorus; two symphonies (1933, 1945); symphonic picture The Overflowing; two piano concertos.

Chamber and other

five string quartets (1927–70) and other chamber music, piano music, songs.
