Parabosco, Girolamo (1520 or 1524–1557)

Italian composer and organist. He was well known for improvisations on the organ. He published two pieces in the miscellaneous collection of instrumental music Musica Nova (1540).

He studied with Adrian Willaert in Venice. In 1551, he succeeded Jachet Buus as first organist at St Mark's, Venice, a post which he held until his death.
