Parkville

Residential community in Baltimore County, central Maryland, USA, 10 km/6 mi northeast of downtown Baltimore; population (1990) 31,600. It is situated between the city's northeast corner and the Beltway road system.

Parkville

Town in Platte County, northwestern Missouri, USA, on the Missouri River, adjacent to northwest Kansas City, Missouri; population (1990) 2,400. It is a largely residential suburb, and the seat of Park College (1875). During the 1840s it was one of the major Missouri River towns. In 1855 it was the scene of a violent clash between proslavery Missourians and the abolitionist owners of the local newspaper.
