Pasquier, Regis (1945– )

French violinist. He studied at the Paris Conservatory, and with Isaac Stern. He made concert tours of Europe from 1958, and made his New York recital debut, in 1960. Between 1977 and 1986 he was a soloist with the Orchestre National de France. In addition to the standard repertory he has played works by Xenakis and Amy. In 1970 he formed the New Pasquier Trio with Bruno Pasquier (viola) and Roland Pidoux (cello). From 1985 he was a professor of violin at the Paris Conservatory.
