Pasquini, Bernardo (1637–1710)

Italian harpsichordist, organist, and composer. His Accademia per musica was performed at the Roman palace of Queen Christina of Sweden in 1687 to celebrate the accession of James II, with Arcangelo Corelli leading a string orchestra of 150 players.

He studied with Loreto Vittori and Antonio Cesti. As a young man he settled in Rome and became organist of the church of Santa Maria Maggiore.
