Passamaquoddy Bay

Deeply indented inlet of the Bay of Fundy, between Maine, and southeast New Brunswick, Canada. It is 48 km/30 mi long and about 32 km/20 mi wide at the entrance, and is deep, sheltered, and never blocked by ice. It has an immense tidal flow with potential for hydroelectric production.
