Hearst, Patty (Patricia Campbell) (1955– )

US socialite. A granddaughter of the newspaper tycoon William Randolph Hearst, she was kidnapped 1974 by an urban guerrilla group, the Symbionese Liberation Army. She joined her captors in a bank robbery, was sought, tried, convicted, and imprisoned 1976–79.

She has since married and become active in charities and fundraising.

A former member of the Symbionese Liberation Army, a US urban guerrilla group notorious for the 1974 kidnapping of media heiress Patty Hearst, was released Tuesday after serving seven years in prison, officials said.
There is her mom, actress and one-time rifle carrying member of the Symbionese Liberation Army Patty Hearst and her dad, Bernard Shaw, who is also her mother's former bodyguard.
Then came Patty Hearst , famous in a different way as the bankrobbing kidnap victim of the Symbionese Liberation Army in California in 1974.
