Paulus Aegineta (625–690)

Greek physician. He was connected with the medical school of Alexandria. He was particularly skilled in surgery and gynaecology and considered by Muslim physicians to be one of the most eminent of Greek medical authorities. His chief work, an encyclopaedia of medicine in seven books, has been produced in many editions and translations. Paulus Aegineta born in Aegina, Greece.
