Pauley, Jane (1950– )

US television anchor. Briefly a reporter and WMAQ-TV coanchor in Chicago, she joined National Broadcasting Company (NBC)'s Today show in 1976, becoming coanchor in 1982. Resigning after a younger female host was added in 1989, she began an NBC weekly magazine series, Real Life with Jane Pauley, later renamed Dateline.. She was born in Indianapolis, Indiana.
