Pavane pour une infante défunte

Piano piece by Maurice Ravel composed in 1899. It was first performed in Paris, on 5 April 1902. An orchestral version was first performed in Paris, on 25 December 1910, conducted by Casella; it is this version which is more commonly heard today.
