Peach Bottom

Township in York County, southeast Pennsylvania, USA, on the Susquehanna River, just north of the Maryland border; population (1990) 3,400. A nuclear power plant is sited on the west bank of the river. Its initial reactor, opened in 1966, was shut down in 1974. Two units opened in 1974 remain in operation.
