Pembroke Pines| City in Broward County, southeastern Florida, USA, 10 km/6 mi from the Atlantic and adjoining Hollywood to the west; population (1990) 65,500. Situated in a suburban corridor midway between Miami and Fort Lauderdale, it mainly consists of planned (especially retirement) communities with various recreational facilities.
