Penmaenmawr

Seaside resort in Conwy county borough, north Wales, on Conwy Bay, 7 km/4 mi from Conwy; population (2001) 1,900. To the west of the town lies Penmaenmawr Hill (472 m/1,548 ft), on top of which is a circle of standing stones.

A short distance from the coast at the foot of the Synchnant Pass is the village of Dwygyfylchi, known locally as the ‘Old Village’. There are fine views from the pass.
