Pepper, Beverly (1924- )

US sculptor and environmental artist. Known for totem figures, steel sculptures, mirrored works, and environmental earth constructions, her works include Amphisculpture (1947-76).

She was born in New York, New York. She studied at the Pratt Institute (1940) and in Paris (1949), painted and travelled extensively, and settled in Italy (c. 1952).
