Perronneau, Jean Baptiste (1715-1785)

French painter. He painted portraits in oils and in pastel. He became a member of the French Academy 1753, but later led a wandering life, working in Italy, Russia, and the Netherlands. His Girl with a Kitten 1745 (National Gallery, London) is typical.
