Pershore

Town in Worcestershire, England, 14 km/9 mi southeast of Worcester, on the River Avon; population (2001) 7,300. Agricultural implements are manufactured here, and there is some market gardening. The church of the Holy Cross, in Norman and Early English styles, is the remaining part of an ancient abbey church.
