In law, the criminal offence of acting in such a way as to prevent justice being done. Examples are tampering with evidence, misleading the police or a court, and threatening witnesses or jurors.

Byline: JEREMY ARMSTRONG A CONVICTED armed robber was arrested yesterday in connection with attempting to pervert the course of justice in a gangland trial where he stood accused of murder.
In addition, he has been charged with deception, sexual assault, cruelty to animals, perverting the course of justice and attempting to pervert the course of justice.
He admitted intending to pervert the course of justice between April 13 and May 23 of last year.
