Peters, Roberta (1930- )

US soprano. She studied in New York with W Hermann, where she made her debut at the Metropolitan Opera House in 1950, as Zerlina. She remained one of America's leading coloratura singers for almost 30 years. Her other roles included Gilda, Queen of Night, Violetta, Manon, and Lucia.
