Petri, Michala (1958– )

Danish recorder player. She made her concert debut in 1969 at the Tivoli Gardens, Copenhagen. She has played a range of works both classical and contemporary, and gave concerts throughout Europe, the USA, Asia, and Australia. Her albums include Greensleeves (1988), Moonchild's Dream (1995), and Scandinavian Moods (1999), as well as collections of sonatas by Bach and Handel and several recordings with her husband, Danish guitarist Lars Hannibal.

She studied in Hanover and made her debut on Danish Radio, in 1964, at the age of five. She won Denmark's Sonning Music Prize in 2000.
