Petrov, Nikolai (1943– )

Russian pianist. He graduated from the Moscow Conservatory in 1967, and from 1968 he gave concerts with the Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra. He made many tours of Europe and the USA (making his New York debut in 1986). He was most often heard in Tchaikovsky and Rakhmaninov, and premiered works by Khrennikov and Khachaturian.
