Phasmida

Insect order comprising the stick insects and leaf insects.

There are some 2,000 species, mainly tropical, arranged in two families: Phylliidae, the leaf insects; and Phasmatidae, the stick insects.

Classification

Phasmida is in subclass Pterygota, class Insecta, phylum Arthropoda.
