Pierrefonds

Town in Montréal Urban Community, southern Québec, Canada, near the southwest end of Montréal Island, along the Rivière des Prairies facing Bizard Island, and 24 km/15 mi southwest of downtown Montréal; population (1991) 48,700. During the 1980s it was one of the urban community's faster-growing residential communities.
