Pilbeam, David R(oger) (1940– )

English-born physical anthropologist. A paleoanthropologist and biometrician, he wrote extensively on human and nonhuman primate evolution, including primate dentition and mastication.

Pilbeam was born in Brighton, England. He went to the USA to teach at Yale (1968–81), then joined the Harvard faculty (1981).
