Pilgrim Trust

British charity established in 1930 by the US philanthropist Edward Harkness (1874–1940) to further social and educational welfare in Britain and to preserve its national heritage.

Its main priorities are the preservation of historic buildings, artworks, and documents, with special emphasis on churches; the support of programmes to help people with substance abuse problems; and prison programmes or alternatives to custody.
