Pilkington, Francis (c. 1570–1638)

English composer. Upon taking his degree in music at Oxford in 1595, he was soon after appointed as singer at Chester Cathedral where he remained to his death, becoming a minor canon in 1612.

anthems, including one in Leighton's Teares or Lamentacions); madrigals; pastorals for three–six voices.
