pintail duck

Wild duck Anas acuta, order Anseriformes. It has a long tail, the two middle feathers of which in the male taper to a sharp point, projecting 13 cm/5 in beyond the others. The head is brown, the upper parts dark grey, with narrow black stripes, and the underparts white.
