Piotrków Trybunalski

Capital of Piotrków province, Poland, 42 km/26 mi south of Łódź; population (2001 est) 81,400. It is an industrial town producing textiles, chemicals, machinery, and glass. In the 10th–17th centuries it was the seat of a royal tribunal and Polish parliament.
