Piscataway

Township in Middlesex County, New Jersey, USA, on the northern side of the Raritan River, opposite New Brunswick; population (1990) 47,100. Largely residential, it also produces pharmaceuticals, health products, and packaging machinery, and has corporate business offices and research centres. Educational facilities include the Hutcheson Memorial Forest of Rutgers University. Piscataway was settled in the 17th century, and includes the village of the same name.
