Pitman, Jenny (Jennifer Susan) (1946– )

English National Hunt racehorse trainer. Her horses have won the Grand National, Midland National, the Massey Fergusson Gold Cup, the Welsh National, the Cheltenham Gold Cup, the Hennessey Gold Cup, and the Whitbread Trophy. She was declared the Piper Heidsieck Trainer of the Year 1983–84 and 1989–90, and the Golden Spurs Best National Hunt Trainer in 1984. She published her autobiography Glorious Uncertainty in 1984.

Harvey was born in Hoby, Leicestershire. Her Grand National wins were achieved with Corbiere in 1983, Esha Ness in 1993 (later void because of problems at the start), and Royal Athlete in 1995. Burrough Hill Lad won the King George VI Cup, the Hennessey Gold Cup, and the Cheltenham Gold Cup in 1984.
