Pizarro, Artur (1968– )

Portuguese pianist. He studied in Lisbon and at the University of Kansas. He played Rakhmaninov's third concerto on his London debut (1989), and as the winning item in the 1990 Leeds International Piano Competition. He performed Ravel's concerto at the 1991 London Promenade Concerts. He gave recitals in Britain, Australia, Japan, and the USA.
