Town in Montréal Urban Community, southern Québec, Canada, on Lake St-Louis (the St Lawrence River), 21 km/13 mi southwest of downtown Montréal; population (1991) 27,600. It is situated to the west of Dorval, east of Beaconsfield, and south of Dollard-des-Ormeaux. Pointe-Clair is an affluent residential and mainly English-speaking suburb.
