PolluxBrightest star in the constellation Gemini, the Twins, and the 17th-brightest star in the night sky. Pollux is a yellow star with a true luminosity 45 times that of the Sun. It is 36 light years away from the Sun. The first-magnitude Pollux and the second-magnitude Castor (Alpha Geminorum) mark the heads of the twins.
