Cruden Bay

Coastal town and seaside resort in Aberdeenshire unitary authority, Scotland, on the Bay of Cruden, 13 km/8 mi south of Peterhead; population (2001) 1,600. A submarine oil pipeline from Forties Field in the North Sea makes landfall in the bay; the line continues overland to Grangemouth.

Nearby Slains Castle is believed to have inspired Bram Stoker to write Dracula 1897.
