Portrush

Seaside resort in County Antrim, Northern Ireland; population (2001) 6,400. It is situated on the Ramore Peninsula, 13 km/8 mi west of the Giant's Causeway. Portrush has sandy beaches, an aquarium, and an exhibition of the kind of fossil remains that can be seen in the rocks nearby.

The Royal Portrush Championship Golf Club is located here. Portrush is also a centre for visitor to the Giant's Causeway.

Portrush Curran (East) Strand in Co Antrim attracts thousands of holidaymakers every year but missed the European Bathing Waters Directive's strict requirements.
At former Open Championship venue Royal Portrush he bagged 39 points, and then on the final day scored 44 at Portstewart for a grand total of 151 points to put him second - three behind the overall winner.
It took the 24-year-old from Portrush to 18 under par with four holes to play, alongside France's Gregory Havret who had two holes to complete this morning.
