Portstewart

Seaside resort in County Londonderry, Northern Ireland, 8 km/5 mi north of Coleraine; population (2001) 7,800. Portstewart Strand is popular with surfers and has two golf clubs.

The novelist Charles Lever (1806–72) was a physician in the town.
