Post, Richard F(reeman) (1918- )

US physicist. He made major contributions to particle accelerator research, nuclear fusion, and high-temperature plasma physics.

He was born in Pomona, California. He taught at Pomona College (1940-42), performed underwater sound studies at the Naval Research Laboratory (1942-46), then moved to Stanford (1947-51) before joining the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (1951-87).
