Seminole leader; see Osceola.

Powell

River of Virginia and Tennessee, USA; about 240 km/150 mi in length. Rising in Wise County, southwestern Virginia, it cuts through Stone Mountain at Big Stone Gap, and winds southwest into Tennessee, where it enters Norris Lake. The lake is formed by the Norris Dam on the Clinch River; before the dam was built the Powell emptied into the Clinch.
