Prešov
| Town in eastern Slovak Republic, on the River Torysa, 36 km/22 mi north of Košice; population (2001) 92,800. Machinery is manufactured and agricultural produce traded from the surrounding area. The town was granted a royal charter in 1374 and has many Renaissance and baroque houses and churches. |
