Prey, Claude (1925- )

French composer. He wrote the chamber opera Le coeur révelateur in 1962, after Poe's The Tell-Tale Heart, and is best known for the operas Les liaisons dangereuses (1974) and Le rouge et le noir (1989).

He studied with Milhaud and Messiaen at the Paris Conservatory.
