Princesse de Navarre, La

Comédie-ballet by Jean-Philippe Rameau (libretto by Voltaire), produced at Versailles, on 23 February 1745, to celebrate the wedding of the Dauphin with Maria Teresa of Spain. In the story, Princess Constance escapes from the King of Castille and hides with Don Morillo, evading the amorous pursuit of the Duke of Foix.
