Pring, Katherine (1940- )

English mezzo-soprano. She studied at the Royal College of Music, London. From 1968 she appeared with the Sadler's Wells and English National Opera ensembles, as Eboli, Azucena, Waltraute, and Agave in the British stage premiere of The Bassarids (1974). Other roles included Poppea, Dorabella, Fricka, Tippett's Thea, and Stravinsky's Jocasta.
