propanol

Third member of the homologous series of alcohols. Propanol is usually a mixture of two isomeric compounds (see isomer): propan-1-ol (CH3CH2CH2OH) and propan-2-ol (CH3CHOHCH3). Both are colourless liquids that can be mixed with water and are used in perfumery.
