Provisions of Westminster

Reforms issued by the English parliament that met at Westminster on 13 October 1259. They were forced on Henry III by his rebellious barons, and forbade the king to grant lands, castles, or offices of state to foreigners. These provisions were a further step following the more radical Provisions of Oxford in 1258.
