Puffin Island

Puffin Island

Island off the northeast coast of the Isle of Anglesey, northwest Wales; length 0.8 km/0.5 mi. It has a puffin colony. Puffins were once collected for pickling and for the production of lamp oil. In the 6th century Seiriol, a hermit, had a cell on the island.
